What are Instagram "Guides"?

Guides are a way to post longer-form content on Instagram that includes photos and videos gathered from either the creator’s own profile or from other creators.

How Instagram "Guides" can help you as a Business Owner, Content Creator & Influencer?

Instagram “Guides” feature allows you to:

1. Build "Places Guide" wherein you can recommend your favorite places,
2. "Products Guide" wherein you can recommend your favorite products, and
3. "Posts Guide" wherein you may recommend a series of your posts or other creator’s posts on a topic.
4. The guides feature is going to be a game-changer for Instagram Influencers wherein they can recommend different products and places to their audience.
5. Instagram Guides is a new way of storytelling & connecting with your audience more authentically.
6. Product or service-based businesses can take advantage of Instagram Guides to promote their physical & digital products.
7. Visitors to Guides can expand their reach by sharing the Guides across their own Stories and in Direct Messages.

How to Create an Instagram "Guide" on your profile?

Follow these simple steps to create your first Guide.

1. Tap the + icon on the top right of your profile.
2. Select the “Guide” feature
3. Now, you can choose from the 3 different formats of Guides available – Places, Products, & posts

     PLACES

4. Let’s go with the “Places” option first. Select the location of your choice. For Example, I have selected “Delhi”
5. Now, I am selecting a couple of images (businesses or Brands) from the Delhi location that I would like to recommend to my audience to visit.
6. Then select “Next”.
7. Now you can add the “Title” & the relevant text to all the selected images or videos.
8. Then click on the “Next” button & then press “Share”

   PRODUCTS

4. Let’s select the “Products” Option.
5. Now, search for the shop on Instagram. I’m searching for the shop “femnmas”
6. It is showing up with 336 products.
7. Click on the shop & select the product you would like to promote as an Influencer.
8. You can also add relevant or related photos or videos from the “Your Posts” & “From Shop” tabs at the bottom of the screen.
9. Then click on the “Next” mentioned at the top right of the screen.
10. Add Title & other relevant information about the product & then click on the “Next” button & “share”

POSTS

4. Let’s select the “Posts” option.
5. Select the relevant posts from “Your posts” and you can also select other creator's work from the “Saved” tabs at the bottom of the screen.
6. Click on the "Next" at the top right corner.
7. Add the Title & other relevant information related to your posts & click on the “share” button.
